MEME

I got tagged. So I have to do this thing called MEME
1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/stories about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules.
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog

#1 When I was a young girl my sister and I used to have some major battles. She would pin me down and almost (and once actually) spit in my face. I don't think I really understood how bad we were until looking back and realizing that on one occasion I really could have drown her if our dad hadn't come out back and jumped into the pool clothes, wallet and all to knock me off of her. It's amazing how close we are when we acted like we wanted to be only children.

#2 My mom called me goonie as a child...wait she still calls me that.

#3 My mom is Jewish and my dad is Baptist. I have only been to Catholic and Christian church with friends. I don't go on a regular basis, but he hears me. I have Matt, Tanner and our little girl on the way to prove it.

#4 Growing up I was known as the sweet one to alot of my friends. With age I have lost some of my niceness. Matt, my mom, grandmother and others have experienced that for themselves in my lack of patience and mouth. I am a work in progress.

#5 I seem to have it together alot, clean house, somewhat organized...but I am so lazy and would much rather lay around relaxing than do anything else. I wish I were more motivated sometimes so I could actually do some of the projects Shannon always talks about.

OK so I am having a hard time coming up with 8 things so lets start here with five and I'll make up the other three later. So here it goes, I'm tagging Kimmy and Joselle. That's all the bloggers I have to tag...

My kid is going to be an Ultimate Fighter???

This past weekend we took Tanner to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay and then to the Secret Garden and Dolphin Pool at the Mirage. He had so much fun, but I still think he was more interested in the people than the animals until he saw the dolphins. He wanted to climb in the pool with them (of course he thinks he can swim). The lions and tigers at the Secret Garden, he thought he could pet them or at least wanted to.

After the Shark Reef, Matt and I were getting coffee and a muffin for Tanner when we noticed an ultimate fighter in line. Matt knew who it was and had to fill me in since he looked familiar but I didn't know the name. Chuck Liddel was really cool and he took a picture with Matt and Tanner which I hopefully can post after I get them developed (forgot my digital cam and had to get a disposable). Now I have my guys wrestling on the floor together. I don't think I could handle Tanner being an ultimate fighter...sorry honey.

What is with all of the vbac talk

Ok so my OB Dr. said that the only way I would be able to have a vbac is if I came to the hospital dialated to a seven or eight already??? Like I could handle the pain that long. He also said no Dr.'s in town really do vbacs but I found two. I also hear of other people attempting them and I think...could that be the right route for me? I just hate the thought of not being able to pick up Tanner for weeks. How do I look in that sweet face and tell him no. I also hate that it isn't even a consideration by my Dr. I don't want to necessarily change Dr.'s if they are just going to say the same thing. I am so confused now...I thought the only tough decision would be the crib bedding.

Our Upcoming Addition

Matt and I thought it would take a miracle to have another baby after Tanner with all of the medical treatments we had to do to have him. Who knew that we would get pregnant on our own the first month we started trying??? I swear that all of my complaining must have become so annoying or my points were so true that God decided that it was time for me. So as I was getting over the fact that we would have our handsome boy but he would not have a sibling, I got two lines (tested about five times before I believed it to be true)on the FRED. So here we are 18+ weeks later and we find out that Tanner will be the big brother to a SISTER!! Bring on the pink. OK Kim lets take some of Shannon's ideas and get crafty.

No computer weekend

Since I won't have my computer over the weekend I just wanted to post a couple of my favorite pictures from Tanner's first year. It was very hard to pick just one (so I picked two). Our friends had a daughter about two weeks before Tanner was born. Since then we have always brought them together and said they were boyfriend and girlfriend. They even ended up in the same outfit at Christmas.

Whoa...baby dominoes

Baby you can drive my car. Don't forget to buckle up.

Our busy boy

I threw out my back last weekend (old softball injury) and that is when I realized what a busy boy Tanner is. He just keeps going and going. If I didn't put him down for a nap he would just keeping going all day and night.
He even wears his two year old, still thinks she is a puppy all kinds of energy labrador out. He thinks it is a fun game to go in her crate, she follows him in, he comes back out, then she does and over and over again until it is time to refuel.
Then he discovers as mommy and daddy are ready to crash from an activity filled day with him that we all need a little something to refuel.

And we wouldn't want him to be any other way.

It's all a big racket

I have been without my computer this weekend because of problems with my anti virus. When we initially purchased our new computer last year we had the place we bought it from download the protection program. Now it has expired and I needed to upgrade...sorry...error message...need disk...put in disk...sorry...another error message...have no clue what it meant, so computer is back with them to update. I think it is just a money racket. I am somewhat computer literate, but it seems when other people touch it it always costs me money. I guess this is the price of trying to be high tech (or just getting by now).

I'll try to be a better blogger from now on (Joselle :-) )
