My friend Kim, "tagged" me with this question, "What are 5 things you know for sure?"
1. I know FOR SURE, that God brought me Matt when I was ready to have the patience and appreciation to foster a beautiful friendship and life long love. He may not know this but I am thankful every moment of everyday that I have his friendship, loyalty, and love.
2. I know FOR SURE, that my sister and I are more like my mother than we like to admit and that some of those traits are actually a good thing. I like to think I took on her generous nature. I love you mommy!!
3. I know FOR SURE, that my first born is a perfect mix of Matt and I. He is such a BOY and brings so much joy to our home. He (and his sister to be)is our miracle baby. What a journey and blessing to have them. Now I just have to tell myself that when he throws his tantrums at bedtime ;-)
4. I know FOR SURE, that with all of my schooling and drive to be successful that since having kids I would rather be home with them and eventually helping in their classrooms. Until that day can happen though I am blessed with great daycare. Tanner pet his first horse yesterday with no fear!
5. I know FOR SURE, that I have a sweet tooth pregnant or not and I have now passed this along to my husband who never ate sweets and of course my child. At least Matt is still playing sports and Tanner runs it off everyday (plus the baby creases are still so cute on him).
I am suppose to pass this along to a couple of friends, so Joselle and Lesley, what are 5 things that you know for sure!

Vote Today!!!
Ok so I thought that it would be easier to decide on a name for a girl, but this has turned out to be much more difficult for me than I thought. I keep going back and forth on two names that both Matt and I like so you be the judge. We went with an A name to be named for her great grandfather on Matt's side as Tanner's middle name was my dad's middle name. Help and if you have any middle name suggestions please feel free to leave those too :-)
The two names are
Alyssa
Aliyah

The nursery is coming along
We have finally finished painting...ok well Matt has finished painting. We only have the chairrail, the closet, and setting up the room. Oh yea, I'm at 27+ weeks. We decided to also start changing out the hardware on the doors. We started with her room and will do the bathroom and Tanner's room first then move on to the rest of the house. It is amazing that something can start small and turn into so many new projects. The new to do list: finish the nursery, change out all of the hardware, change out the pendant lighting since we aren't selling the house right now we can put our really pretty custom ones back up, landscaping the front yard, and putting in storage and epoxy flooring in the garage. I'm sure I forgot something, oh yea the rugs for the front game room and living room. Always something. At least by the end of this week we will have our new sofa and with storage for all of Tanner's things for the playroom. I can't wait until it is all done (no this will not be a three year project!!)
Things are going well with the pregnancy. No problems to report. Tanner gives my belly kisses but I think he just thinks it looks funny. I tell him to say hi to his sister and he looks at me crazy. He really isn't understanding just yet. I can't wait until they will be able to play together. He will be such a great big brother.
Will post later with pics from him at the park from a birthday party we went to.

For Luke
Please check out Shannon's blog Eight Crazy. She is doing a wonderful thing for a seven year old little boy named, Luke. This is a snippet from her site. She is taking the prayers that are posted for him and making him a gift to have in the hospital with him.
From Shannon's blog:
We have some friends (Steve & Vikki) whose seven year old son has just been diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. Please lift this family up in your prayers. They are embarking on a season of life that no family ever should have to endure.
Luke has begun chemotherapy, and while the statistics for this type of leukemia are scary, we believe that God is capable of miracles.
The specific requests from the dad at this point are:
1. A "brave heart" for Luke (he has a fear of needles!)
2. A new form of normalcy for their family, especially the two other children as their mom and brother will be away at the hospital for an extended period for treatment.
3. That God will be glorified through all this.
4. Healing for Luke

Driving my husband nuts
OK so like I said I can't make up my mind. The first nursery paint we purchased and Matt painted the entire room before I decided it was too bright. So onto paint number two after hearing about it all day Sunday. I painted a wall and a half and it seems to be a good color choice now. I need to see it better in the light of day and with the bedding in there but I don't think I dare to change it again even if it isn't just right. Love you baby!!!!!
